Matchbuilding is an absorbing hobby made easy by the use of preformed shapes, suitable for all ages.

The side trawler was the most familiar vessel in the North Atlantic deep sea fishing industry until the late sixties and has evolved over a longer period than the other trawler types. This type of vessel, still used in some countries, is progressively being replaced by the stern trawler.

The approximate size of the finished Side Trawler Matchstick model: 60cm x 12.5cm x 28.5cm (24″ x 5″ x 11″).
