Matchitecture – Fokker DR1 Triplane Plane
This highly manoeuvrable German fighter was used during Word War 1 (1914-18). Two pilots, Manfred von Richthofen, better know as The Red Baron and Werner Voss, became very famous while flying this triplane. The Red Baron shot down 84 planes, 21 in April 1917 alone.
The Matchitecture range of these kits, marks a new development in the world of match modelling. Gone are the traditional cardboard formers, instead you have a set of paper plans which you place underneath the protective clear sheet on the building board and assemble micro beams. When all sub-assemblies have been constructed, simply join together to produce your match masterpiece.
